Respect Yourself Respect Your Culture Kaatijin double bill North West Tour

& Culture 2.0 | Respect Yourself Respect Your Culture Workshop Program

The North West Tour will reach students in regional and remote communities from Onslow to Nullagine.

Yirra Yaakin will be presenting performances of two of our most recent successful works for primary school audiences Kaarla Kaatijin & Kep Kaatijin. Students will have the opportunity to engage with Aboriginal theatre-makers exploring stories and characters relating to  “understandings of fire & water”.
The team will also be undertaking the Culture 2.o | Respect Yourself Respect Your Culture workshop program. This program invites high school students to explore ideas about what culture means to them and develop performance outcomes from the ideas generated by these discussions.

In 2014 the team will be travelling to high schools in Port Hedland & Karratha from 12 - 30 May.
