Yirra Yaakin’s Writer’s Group

Our monthly Writers Group is back in 2012!

After a successful 2011, the writer’s group will continue in 2012, on the second Monday of every month.

The first session for the year kicks off in one week:

Monday 16 January 6pm-9pm
At Yirra Yaakin
65 Murray Street, Perth

Each session will feature a guest speaker, quiet time to write, a chance to share your work with likeminded people, writing exercises.

Sessions are free and all Aboriginal Community members are welcome to attend.
Refreshments are provided.

Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company - Sharing Aboriginal Stories.

Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company in association with the Office for the Arts is working towards maintaining Indigenous culture by collecting Noongar stories for the future.

Through funding from the Australian Government’s Office for the Arts Indigenous Culture Support and Creative Development Program, Yirra Yaakin is able to engage with the community and collect, record, collate, develop and produce the stories into physical, recordable outcomes.
